The Deal, in Plain English.

Prices are in US dollars and are what you see when you check out. Tax and shipping are shown before you pay. We can change prices at any time, but never on an order you've already placed.

Every jar is weighed and packed after you order it. Because nothing exists until you've paid, an order can be cancelled only until it reaches the bench, which is usually within a few hours. After that it's yours.

Payment is handled by Stripe. If a payment fails, we'll try again and email you; the jar doesn't get packed until it clears.

Occasionally an ingredient runs out between your order and the bench. If that happens we'll email you a swap or a refund for that line. We won't substitute silently.

Every jar is packed in one facility that handles peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, soy, egg and sesame. Each ingredient lists its allergens, the jar's label lists the total, and the builder can filter some of them out. It can't make a shared room a clean room. If cross-contact is dangerous for you, please don't order.

Nutrition values are estimates. They come from supplier sheets and USDA data, are calculated per gram from the recipe, and are rounded the way a printed label rounds. A hand-weighed jar can be a gram or two off in either direction.

Our jars are shelf-stable and best within 60 days of packing. Keep the lid on.

Jars ship from the bench in 2 business days from the order, within the continental US. Shipping costs what checkout says; orders over the free-shipping line and every Crunch Club order ship free.

Once the carrier has it, delivery estimates are theirs, not ours. We'll give you the tracking link and chase them with you if it goes quiet. Address typos are on you, so double-check; if a jar comes back to us undeliverable we'll reship for the cost of postage.

We don't take food back. If your jar arrives broken, wrong, or clearly not what you built, email us within 7 days with a photo and we'll send a new one or refund it, your choice.

Refunds go back to the original card and take 5 to 10 business days to show up, which is the bank's timing rather than ours.

If you just don't like the mix you built, that one's on you, but tell us anyway. We've been known to be generous, and the remix button exists for exactly this.

A jar subscription sends the same mix every 2, 4 or 8 weeks at the subscribe-and-save price. You're charged when each jar is packed, not in advance. You can skip the next one, pause for a while, swap the mix, change the schedule or cancel, all from your account, any time before a jar reaches the bench.

Crunch Club is a monthly membership billed on the day you joined. It gives you free shipping on every order, early access to drops, a member badge and a seasonal jar. Cancel from your account and it runs to the end of the month you've paid for. No refunds for partial months, no fee to leave.

If a renewal payment fails we'll retry and email you. After a couple of weeks unpaid, the subscription pauses itself until you update the card.

A gift can ship to an address you give us, or go out as a link the recipient opens to pick their own jar and address. Link gifts are paid up front and are good for a year; if a link isn't opened by then, email us and we'll sort it out.

The recipient's name goes on the label and your note goes in the box. We don't include prices.

You log in with a code we email you; there's no password to lose. Keep your inbox safe and tell us if you think someone else has been in your account.

Saved mixes, orders and subscriptions live on the account. You can close it any time from your account page or by emailing us; open orders still ship and active subscriptions are cancelled.

If you publish a mix and someone buys it from your link or your page, you earn 18% of the jar price (before tax and shipping). Remixes of your mix and subscriptions to it count. Earnings clear after a 14-day hold, which is the replacement window, and pay out through Stripe on the schedule you choose in the studio.

You need a Stripe account to be paid, and you're responsible for your own taxes. We'll send whatever forms the law requires at the thresholds it sets.

The mix name and your handle are yours. You give us a license to show them on the jar, the label, the page and in the menu, and to tell people the mix exists. You can unpublish at any time; jars already ordered still ship, and remixes other people made stay up.

We can take a mix down if it breaks the rules below or if an ingredient in it is discontinued and there's no sensible swap. We'll tell you either way. We won't take one down because it sells well.

Any public mix can be remixed by anyone. The remix carries a line back to the original, and the original creator keeps earning 18% on it. That's the deal that makes the button worth pressing.

Names and notes you put on mixes have to be yours to use and can't be hateful, obscene, misleading about what's in the jar, or pretending to be someone else. Brand names of partner ingredients are fine in the ingredient list; they aren't yours to put in the mix name.

Don't scrape the site, resell jars as your own product without a wholesale account, or try to game the remix or trending systems. We'll close accounts that do.

The site, the builder, the name, the logo, the photography and the ingredient data are ours or licensed to us. You can share links and screenshots all you like; you can't copy the catalogue or pass the brand off as yours. Press assets on the press page are free to use in coverage.

We'll do our best, and when we get it wrong we'll fix it as described above. Beyond that, the site and the jars are provided as they are, and our total liability to you for anything arising from an order is capped at what you paid for that order. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.

None of this limits anything the law doesn't let us limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. If something goes wrong, email us first; nearly everything gets sorted in a reply or two. Anything that doesn't goes to the courts in Davidson County, Tennessee, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.

We'll update these terms when the store changes. The date at the top moves, account holders get an email for material changes, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.
