Do we need to be a registered nonprofit?
No. Any group with a bank account can run one. Stripe verifies the person who connects the account the way it does for any small business; a 501(c)(3) letter isn't required.
Can supporters give without buying a jar?
Yes. Turn on donations and the checkout offers a tip line; 100% of it goes to the fundraiser. Supporters can also add a tip on top of a jar.
When does the money arrive?
Sales clear after the refund window, then pay out to your group's bank through Stripe — automatically when you end the fundraiser, or sooner if you ask. Your dashboard shows what's cleared and what's still on hold.
Do we have to deliver anything?
No. Every jar ordered through your link is weighed, packed and shipped by us, straight to the supporter, in about 2 business days. If you also want jars to sell in person, order a case at bulk pricing.
